We hat lovers shine brightest in sunlight.
Don't get me wrong, I love a rich burgundy velour wool cloche in autumn. A jaunty charcoal fedora garnishes a cashmere outfit in winter.
But we brim-lovers really glow in the bright sunshine.
Scroll for my 5 favorite straw brim hats that have served me for many seasons. They're all affordable at under $150. Then keep reading for stunning toppers I'm eyeing for this coming season.

My favorite hat discovery this year...
As a gal who loves feminine hats, has a larger head size, and doesn't want to shop in the men's department, I'm thrilled to have discovered headwear brand Lack of Color.
Each of their hats come in two to three sizes, ranging from XS-XL. This is always exciting, and even more so given the affordable price point. Most, if not all, of their headwear is under $200.
Even more to love: the product listings often depict the hat on a human model. (I found this to be most true on the Dillard's website.)
If you'd like to add some color to your Lack of Color hat, consider adding a "puggaree" hat band. Use a hooks pictured above to easily add and remove them. I love pinning on silk flowers that match my outfit.
