Sometimes you have a garment that needs a tiny tweak before you'll wear it.


It could be a new dress, or a top from years ago. Time goes by, and you just don't get around to it.


In this article, I'll show you a quick way to widen a halter neckline. With a more generous width, you'll be able to wear the garment under a cardigan without awkward gaps.

Even without sewing experience, you can do this alteration yourself. No need to drop off at the dry cleaner (where they'd charge more than you paid for the dress).
