I believe every day of your life is worth dressing up for. No matter how simple.

Your day-to-day schedule may lack allure. If it does, you're not alone.

So much of modern life involves unnatural activities, like wrestling with health insurance or negotiating parking tickets.

But even if your daily routine isn't exciting, you certainly can be.

You and your values can make any day glamorous. This kind of glamour is not visual, but a feeling that comes from within.

It comes from respect for the value of time. Your time. It is limited, and thus precious. It is innately valuable, regardless of activity.

If you live till eighty, author Oliver Burkeman points out, you'll have had just four thousand weeks. That's right, only four thousand.

You'll want to maximize those weeks. And what will give you the strength to do so?

A decent outfit.

A casual, put-together outfit will help you feel awake and energized. It will help you resist the urge to laze on the couch. Or climb back into bed.

Your decent outfit might draw a bit of attention. You may get comments and questions. And that's okay.

You'll interpret them as the compliments, and gracefully accept them. You might even put said compliments in your metaphysical back pocket, and save them for a rainy day.

Beloved reader, I dare you.

I dare you to dress well every day. Even when lounging at home. Wear clean, fresh, matching pajamas.

It can be easier to dress well when you're going to see and been seen. You respect others.

And if no one else will see you, guess what? You'll see you. You too are worthy of respect. You matter.

When you venture out into the beautiful world, wear outfits that are neat, clean, and attractive. It will have a powerful impact...

In an age of distraction, your thoughtful outfit will communicate focus.

Though surrounded by confusion, your elegance will tell of conviction.

And amidst the frenetic pace, your lovely attire will convey composure.

Dressing well will bring out your best self. It will make you feel confident and empowered. You need your strength and courage--and we need it too.
