3 easy ways to wear a pre tied head scarf
Of all the scarves and headwraps in a covered gal's closet, pre-tied headscarves are the reigning champions of speed. I'm talking ludicrous speed, like a Tesla.
This cotton-rayon pre-tied head scarf is from Miami headwear shop The Scarf Bar, and is adorned with a playful print of cheetahs and tropical foliage.
The Video Tutorial
The 1-minute tutorial below shows three easy ways to wear a pre tied head scarf that is stitched closed in the back. The generously long 20" side tails allow you to tie a number of creative and flattering styles.
Underlayers
Before head wrapping, I put on this beige velvet wig-grip headband. It has an adjustable velcro closure in the back, and the strongest grip of any slip-proofing accessory I've ever worn.
Most days I wear this brown velvet headband, but I felt that beige would blend in better under the scarf's pale blue-green background.
I'm also wearing this gray cotton-spandex layering cap for extra fullness. You can find large scrunchies, like the one in the video, here and here.
The Jewelry
While I favor yellow gold jewelry, I felt that silver tones strike a better match for the cool blue tones of the scarf.
I am delighted by these white gold huggie earrings with mini pear-shaped cubic zirconia stones. They are also available in yellow and rose gold.
Sheath dress: Maggy London / Long cardigan: similar here
The earrings' sterling silver hinge closure is completely enclosed and wont snag delicate fabric. It coordinates beautifully with the tulip brooch.
The multi-strand rice pearl necklace is from my grandmother, and you can find similar ones here and here.
The Modest Outfit
I am wearing this stunning ivory sheath dress with a neckline knot by Maggy London. I recommend ordering one size up, as it fits slim around the waist and hips.
The lightweight LOFT duster cardigan is from a consignment store. You can find a similar ecru or dove gray duster in sizes XS-6X here.
