This first hat has a stunning space-dye effect. I love its subtle shimmer. Another thing I really love: it's uber-packable! Just roll it up and stash it in your bag.
It's made by Australian brand Wallaroo. The material is UPF 30. The Aussies know a thing or two about sun protection!
You can wear the brim rolled up or down (or a combination of the two, as shown in the video). The hat's inner circumference measures 23". You can tighten the fit by pulling the drawstring.

2. The striped crochet cloche
This hat is heavenly. I literally didn't want to take it off.
Cloche hats are timeless. The shape never goes out of style. The striped crocheted paper yarn gives this one a contemporary edge.
The crown has some give to accommodate a larger head size. I love the flexible yet stable brim, which likely contains a clear wire. This maintains the brim shape, and prevents it from flopping into your face.
The inside of the hat measures 23". There is an elastic drawstring to comfortably tighten the fit.

3: The ultra-affordable visor hat

These beige and black visor hats are a steal from Wal-Mart. As a hat lover, I have a great many of this style hat. These visors are better quality than many other high-end ones I have owned.
The flexible brim wire prevents the brim from flopping down in your face. Adjust the fit with the velcro strap at the center back.
These hats are easy to pack. Just roll them up, and secure closed with the attached elastic loop.
4. The Ultrabraid visor hat
If you prefer more color options, consider the Ultrabraid visor by San Diego Hat Co. It's also packable, and comes in 17 colors! I'm wearing it below in the 'coffee' shade. Note that its brim is a tad floppy.

5. The Nordstrom packable wide-brim
Here's yet another packable hat with pizzaz. The crown has a rounded, feminine shape, and the brim curves in toward your face in a most flattering shape. Love that side bow.
The inner circumference measures 22.75". There is a drawstring ribbon to make it smaller. It's made by the Nordstrom store brand, and has been a perennial favorite for years.
It's made of breathable paper straw. Even though it's packable, I appreciate that it shipped in a large box, in its natural shape.
This wide-brim chapeau also comes in white, tan, and speckled blue.
6. Betmar's Gossamer mini

This hat is by my all-time favorite hatmaker, Betmar. While I wouldn't recommend squashing in into a suitcase, it can handle some loose rolling.
This 'rattlesnake' colorway is a combination of beige and black. It has a neutral effect that's easy to match with many different outfits.
The inner circumference is 23". The crown has some give for larger head sizes. If it's too loose for you, just pull the drawstring ribbon to tighten.
7. The lacy pink confection

This hat is a work of art! The wavy brim and scalloped edges have a couture look.
It would be perfect for afternoon tea or a garden party. I can imagine it in a Ralph Lauren spring/summer runway collection.
Luckily, it has an affordable price point. It's by Steve Madden at Macy's. It also comes in a pale denim color.
The inner circumference around the head ribbon measures 23.25". There is a ribbon to tighten the fit.

Love love love!
This packable cloche has a neutral tone and classic shape. It has a 23" innter circumference, with a drawstring to tighten. It also comes in a light beige and bright white.

9. The widest of wide brims!

The XL braid hat by San Diego Hat Co is smashing! Its brim is a whopping eight inches wide.
