Lately I've been hunting for reversible headwear. It's winning strategy for maximizing space in your closet and suitcase.

This beret's juicy shade of red raspberry caught my eye.

Not only is it reversible and a luscious hue, but it's also a cushiony smooth cashmere-blend. You will want to pet it.

How to Style a Raspberry Reversible Beret Hat: 2 Ways

One layer of this beret is solid, and the other has black embroidery-like accents that look like large running stitches. The two finely-knit layers are connected seamlessly.

In this article, I'll demo two ways to volumize and style this beret hat.

The first technique is to tie a cotton scarf underneath for volume, then secure a satin sash around the hairline. The sash matches the "embroidery," and has a fluid drape.

Next, I'll show how to use both a long beanie and a small beret underneath to add subtle fullness.

Volumizing the beret

For the first technique, I began with this velvet grip headband and this cotton square scarf from Amazon. To make a triangle, I folded the square diagonally from one corner to another.

The black satin sash came in a set of three, along with gray and white. To remove the creases, gently massage with a handheld steamer.

While I've stuck to a duochrome raspberry and black color palette for the outfit and headwear, I've chosen beige heels. The nude tone gives an elongated effect.

The dress is by Ted Baker London. You can find midi dresses in a similar colorway here and here. For a coordinating layering shells, browse The Shell Station's website.
